(英語)台湾出身の生徒さんの体験談上げました!
Name: Wu, Ping yang
Age: 27
Lesson hours: 6
Dorm type: Double room
⇒Have you ever studied abroad? / Did you find any difficulty in learning English?
I was an engineer in Taiwan. I have never studied abroad before I came to Cebu. I came here to study in order to find a new job which has English requirement. During these three months, I found that I have a big improvement in speaking and listening and the most difficult is grammar.
⇒Did you spend your time to study? / Have you traveled in Cebu?
As for self study, I spend 30 minutes to 3 hours on weekdays and 2 hours on the weekend in order to review and preview the lessons.
I went to some places with my Japanese friends in Cebu on the weekend such as school trip which cost 2000 pesos includes Nalusuan and Caohagan island, Skywalk in Crown Regency Hotel which cost 750pesos and the one I recommend the most is Bohol island, which I spend one day and it cost 2000 pesos.
⇒How’s the dormitory?
The school dormitory is new and clean, but the connection of wifi is unstable or disconnected always. The food is delicious and suitable for Taiwanese. Since we usually eat outside on Fridays, I hope curry rice is not on Fridays then we can taste its delicacy.
⇒Why/How you chose NILS?
The reason that I chose Cebu is its tuition is cheap. Firstly, I found an agency, Ugophilippines, which website has information about NILS. And I chose NILS because here doesn’t have Taiwanese so that I can speak English all the time. Another reason is that I like Japanese since I traveled in Japan in which people impressed me with their kindness.
⇒What are the advantages and shortcoming of school?
NILS has good location which has lots of restaurants around it. Even if dormitory is not in the school, it offers school bus to send students go back and forth. In school, Japanese support staff, Mr. Ryo, is kind and willing to help me always. There are some disappointed things such as MP3 players usually are malfunctioning, TOEIC reading books are not allowed to buy, always have trash on cubicle desk and my cubicle is noisy, especially noon time since my cubicle is near the pantry and teachers usually chatting in there this time.
⇒Who are the teachers you recommend?
I would like to recommend some teachers. First one is Philip who is good at analyzing the questions. Second is Thea, who is good at grammar and explanation. Third is Jay, whose pronunciation is quite good.
I am going to take TOEIC exam and find a new job after I go back to Taiwan.
